The "Black Forest Collection" is a superb new range of hand made furniture and decorative items expertly hand carved in the small picturesque lakeside town of Brienz near Interlaken, switzerland. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries Brienz was the renowned center of the original "Black Forest" wood carving industry. Those original antique versions were widely collected and today attract very high prices worldwide. Carring on in that same tradition but with a fit into today's lifestyle comes the new antiques of the future made in the same exacting way as their predecessors.
All the wood carvers have served long apprenticeships in the regions world famous wood carving school and take enormous pride in their craftsmanship and ability to perpetuate the renouwned Swiss wood carving skills.
